As a research assistant on Dr. Valerie Lewis' team, Jung specializes in qualitative research methodologies, contributing to the team's mixed-methods approach to research projects. As the team explores how health systems across the nation are strategically adapting to health care reform and new payment models, she conducts phone interviews and site visits to collect data from a range of individuals, including senior leadership and frontline providers. Based on the team's special interest in vulnerable populations, she especially enjoys analyzing the data to understand how health systems are addressing health disparities and associated social determinants of health. Jung earned an MPH from The Dartmouth Institute and a BSA in biology with a minor in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. During the master's program, she was one of five recipients for the 2016 Capstone Award, in which she investigated how to improve patient flow through the outpatient psychiatry clinic at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center by understanding the patient’s perspective.
