Application Fee

There is a $75 application fee, which can be paid by credit card or check made payable to The Trustees of Dartmouth College. The application fee is nonrefundable and is not credited toward any charges when an accepted applicant registers as a student.

Online Application for Late Summer 2012

The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice only accepts online applications through the Dartmouth College graduate application system. You can find the application for the 2012-2013 academic year at: https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=dart-grad.

All accepted applicants who wish to reserve a seat in the incoming class must submit a nonrefundable deposit (which is applied against tuition) as follows:

Early Action round deposit: $500; due February 15, 2012
March round deposit: $500; due May 1, 2012
After March 1st:  $500

Official Transcripts

All applicants must have official transcripts from your degree granting institution sent to:

If you are currently in a degree program, you are required to submit a current official transcript of courses completed and work in progress.

Official Test Scores (GRE or MCAT)

Applicants without an advanced or professional degree must submit official standardized test scores with their application. Scores must be within the past five years.

This requirement may be waived based on applicant's work experience. To be eligible to apply for the waiver, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: initiated an application to the MPH or MS program; earned a BA or BS from an accredited college or university; achieved a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale from their undergraduate institution; and have at least five years of applicable work experience (determined by the TDI Admissions Committee).

Three Letters of Recommendation

The Admissions Committee values letters from persons who are able to provide a thoughtful, thorough and honest assessment of an applicant's academic abilities and the ability to succeed at The Dartmouth Institute. You may submit more than three letters of recommendation, however, your application may go to the Admissions Committee for review when the first three letters are received.

Personal Statement

Please include a one page statement that explains the significant personal, social, or academic experiences that have contributed to your decision to study at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI), Center for Education.

A current curriculum vitae (CV) or resume is required.
