Dale Collins Vidal, MD, MS, is a professor of surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). Dr. Vidal received her introduction to the concepts of shared decision making and outcomes reporting at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI). As a leader in healthcare transparency and shared decision making, Dr. Vidal was named the Director for the Center for Informed Choice and Medical Director for the Center for Shared Decision Making in October 2008.

 


Michael McGinnis, PhD

Professor in the Department of Political Science, Indiana University, Bloomington

Michael D. McGinnis is Professor in the Department of Political Science at Indiana University, Bloomington. He is a Senior Research Fellow (and former Director) of The Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis, an inter-disciplinary research and teaching center focused on the study of institutions, development policy, resource management, and governance. The Workshop was initially established in 1973 by Vincent and Elinor Ostrom, and its continuing importance was dramatically recognized when Elinor Ostrom was awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. McGinnis served as Director or Co-Director of the Ostrom Workshop for a total of 5 years since 2003, after serving as Associate Director for six years before that.

 

 

Albert G. Mulley, Jr., MD MPP

Director of The Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science and Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth

Dr. Mulley is Director of The Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science and Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Before joining The Dartmouth Center, Dr. Mulley spent 35 years on the Harvard faculty and the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital where he was the founding Chief of the General Medicine Division and Director of the Medical Practices Evaluation Center. He is founding Editor of the text, Primary Care Medicine now in its 7th edition, and founding Director of the Informed Medical Decisions Foundation.

Michael M. Lewis, M.D., M.B.A. has more than thirty years of significant experience in the practice of medicine, management and the business of healthcare. He is the Senior Fellow at The Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science. He was the Endowed Professor and Chairman of Orthopaedics and Chief of Staff at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He was Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University and the Medical Director of a Vanderbilt hospital. He was the Senior Vice President (Clinical and Business Development) of Priority Healthcare Corporation, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: PHCC).
