Capstone
Experiential learning is instrumental to the Dartmouth experience. A culminating highlight of your MS studies is the opportunity to develop and pursue your own interests in improving health and health care. You’ll complete an individual capstone project (written and oral presentations) with the support of your faculty adviser.
MS Capstone Course Series 1-3
(6 CREDITS)
Students complete an academically robust, high quality project ranging from creating proposals for interventions and research projects to conducting policy systematic reviews. Emphasis is placed on developing innovative approaches to addressing some of today’s biggest public health challenges. Recent capstone projects have explored:
- Biopharmaceuticals and Law: How the U.S. Government Combats Increasing Drug Prices and Decreasing Patient Access
- Improving Poor Health Literacy with Tailored Educational Tools for Patients with Diabetes in Rural Areas
- A Nationwide Analysis of State Firearm Policies and State Firearm Mortality
