Dartmouth Institute Education Community Update
There is no precedent for the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic presents. We thank the many Dartmouth Institute alumni, students, and faculty whose professional life puts them on the front lines in public health and health care systems. We salute their service as they care for their patients and populations with courage and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
In this crisis, the need for integration between public health and healthcare is apparent. We wanted to share how The Dartmouth Institute has been responding to help equip our community to work toward the health of populations with a deep understanding of healthcare systems.
Fall/Winter Planning for On-Campus MPH/MS Programs
In accordance with Dartmouth's fall term plans, our plan for this fall at The Dartmouth Institute is to hold classes both in-person and remotely for our one-year, on-campus programs. We are working hard to ensure that all protocols will be in place for protecting our community’s health while carefully managing our in-person interactions. We want students to have the opportunity to experience Hanover and the Dartmouth campus if they would like to be here in person, while also giving students the option to continue with remote learning if that is more preferable.
Fall/Winter Planning for the Online/Hybrid MPH ProgramUnder guidance of Dartmouth's fall term plans, our December "on-campus" week for the online/hybrid MPH program December 7-10, 2020 will be held virtually. We will work diligently to deliver engaging, robust, and interactive content for our December Intensive week, and welcome input and suggestions from our students.

Stay in Touch and Be Safe
There is substantial uncertainty about when the COVID-19 pandemic will end and “normal” life will resume. It is heartening to see the bravery and courage of people pulling together to support one another and their communities. Our sincere gratitude goes out to everyone risking their own health to help others in this time of need.
During this time, our connections and support of each other continue to be critical components of health and well-being. Please stay in touch and let us know if we can help in any way.
