Tuition Overview
Accelerated On-Campus MPH and MS in Healthcare Research (11-month programs)
Full-time students pay tuition in four equal installments of $19,473. Payment is due on the billing date prior to the beginning of each term in which the student is enrolled, including—if applicable—the term in which the student is off-campus, conducting research, or performing an internship.
Online/On-Campus Hybrid MPH (2-year program)
Students in our Hybrid program pay tuition in eight installments, four per year for both years. Costs as noted above are approximate per year. Tuition is half the on-campus tuition rate for a given year, which is likely to increase by 1-3% each year.
Health Insurance
In addition to the Health Services Access fee, all students enrolled in the one-year, on-campus MPH and MS programs at Dartmouth must have health insurance that meets specific coverage standards.
Health Insurance Coverage through Dartmouth
Unless you file a waiver (below), you will be automatically enrolled in the Dartmouth Student Group Health Plan, and the premium will be billed to your student account. No further action is required. The student coverage premium for 2023-2024 is $4,163.
Other Comparable Health Insurance Coverage
If you prefer other health insurance coverage, you MUST complete the online insurance waiver to avoid being automatically enrolled in the Dartmouth Student Group Health Plan and charged the insurance premium. Instructions and completion form for the waiver are found here.
Housing for On-Campus MPH & MS Students
Dartmouth College offers a variety of rental housing for students—all of our available rental listings are posted and applied for online: http://realestate.dartmouth.edu/dartmouth-rentals (search listings for Dartmouth College graduate students from the toggle buttons at the top of the page).
Lodging for Online/Hybrid MPH Intensive Weeks
We have two rates for students during our on-campus intensive weeks. The hotel option is $3,000 annually, where we book your accommodations for each of the six-week-long on-campus sessions held during the program. The commuter option is $900 annually, where the student is responsible for their own accommodations during the on-campus intensives, while we will cover most food during the on-campus sessions.
