Taking on the toughest challenges in healthcare to create impactful solutions for patients and providers.
Our research helps clinicians, policy makers, and systems leaders improve practices and develop innovative new models of healthcare delivery.
INVESTIGATE
For over 30 years, Dartmouth has been a pioneer in health services research.
Our research has increased and expanded the understanding of geographic variations in healthcare delivery, the adaption and integration of payment reform models, and the factors influencing physician decision making and patient-clinician communication. The insights we gain help policy makers, systems leaders, and healthcare providers improve practices.
INNOVATE
We partner with health organizations and systems to develop, test, and scale innovative new models of healthcare delivery. We are developing innovative “learning health systems” in which patient experience and the outcomes of real healthcare practice generate the data that researchers need to improve care. At pilot sites around the country, we are testing new strategies and models to improve patient-clinician communication and give patients the tools they need to make more informed decisions about their care.
EDUCATE
Our educational programs help healthcare professionals gain the skills they need to impact policies, improve health systems, and overcome the barriers that stand in the way of improving health and healthcare. Dartmouth students are a diverse mix of recent college graduates, mid-career professionals, and clinicians who have come here to share insights and collaborate with some of the best healthcare investigators in the world.
