Lead the future of Epidemiology
The field of epidemiology is integral to human health and transcends societal infrastructure, from individual to global health. This integrative program emphasizes rigorous training in traditional epidemiological methodologies combined with neighboring disciplines to strengthen the modern epidemiologist with the necessary tools for current and future public health challenges. The foundational coursework in this program combines skills in planning and executing clinical studies, use of molecular markers, foundational biostatistics for complex statistical modeling of public health data, and topics in clinical, global, molecular, and environmental exposure epidemiology. It focuses on training in interdisciplinary fields, leading to effective communication between epidemiologists and other members of the fight for human health, including data scientists, clinicians, public health officials, and policy makers.
Dartmouth’s Master of Science degree in Epidemiology trains highly qualified students to identify and solve public health challenges with ingenuity and effectiveness.
The Epidemiology degree provides an unmatched interdisciplinary education in the areas of data analysis, statistical modeling and computer science, epidemiology, and healthcare for careers in government, health care, research, and biomedicine in academia and the private sector.
